My Blue Turquoise Discus!

This is my first Discus and it is absolutely beautiful! I don't know how I went without it in my tank. I have had it for a week now and it seems very social and none of the other fish are bothering it (i.e. nipping fins), is this normal behavior for a Discus? To be social? Or are they more of a loaner fish that defends their territory?

Very pretty! I have always liked discus but I love oscars the best
