A "Ruby Clown Cichlid" is just another name for "Bolivian Ram". Scientifically known as "Microgeophagus altispinosa". They are not African but South American.

yeah, here's what they look like:

Although I think I'm going to have to move them out of the tank as pretty soon they're going to become the weaklings of the tank.

Oh! I have a bolivian in my 20 gallon planted tank. I've never heard it called a ruby clown cichild before.... and yes please remove them they will undoubtedly be ripped apart in that tank.

Yeah I'm taking them out this weekend... as of now, they're fine, but once the others start to grow, I know they'll be in trouble.
