My dad **better** build a pond!

When we move I really badly want my dad to build a pond that takes up a lot of the yard...I want a BIG pond so I can have some koi, large goldfish, comets, and dojo loaches in. We had a pond with 7 koi in it when we MOVED :rant2: I really want another one...what other fish do you think we should have in it??

10' long by 6' wide by 4' deep gives you about 1800 gallons. if you want the shores to be gradual and start at about 1' deep and go down to 4', then you need to make the pond wider to keep the same ammount of gallons.

ok.... whats a big pond? everyone has a different idea what big is. what kind of area are you looking at?

I had one that was like...four 600 gallons...lol...so it was about 2400 gallons...maybe les...I will have to ask my dad once he gets home from work and see what the exact amount is....I think it mightve been smaller than a 2400 though..... I want one that is about twice the size of that...

i'd reccomed 2-3 koi and a hi-fin banded shark depending on size, but that's just me. I like a few huge fish and not many little ones.
