My Dad Is Cheap

For a while now I've been hoping to get a larger aquarium. Because neither of my parents will buy me a new aquarium from the store, I've been looking on Craigslist. Amazingly today, I found a 100 gallon aquarium with everything for a $100.

Since my birthday is about a week and a half away, I called my father to see if he would by the 100 gallon for me. This is where I became shocked.

My father said he wouldn’t buy the 100 gallon aquarium, with everything included, unless the guy came down to $30 or $40.

Does my dad not realize how much of a bargain $100 dollars is!? :screwy:

Lol you're lucky you found one for such a good price. Here in southern ontario people have the most insane prices. Such as 100$ for a 10 gallon!
You could always ask your mother. But it's up to you.

The tank is in Tenessesse where my father lives. My mom and I live in South Carolina -over 300 miles away-, so he would have to buy it. I feel so let down.

is there a greater underlying reason to not get a $100 birthday present? poor economy, dad doesn't have all the money that you might think he has, dad needs to save money for more important things for you???.... i'm sorry i will not offer any sympathy condolences suggestions or anything else but to just expect a rather expensive gift like that and then complain about not getting it is simply ridiculous.
