Be interesting to know what the pH of the tap water is after it sits overnight - with KH and GH through the roof you may just have the same sort of liquid rock I used to suffer in Watford. CO2 in the water may depress the pH as it comes out the tap.
Sounds like a good environment for brackish or rift lake cichlids - please be aware that not all cichlids like hard alkaline water - most SA like it soft and acid.
[tangent]Interestingly, there used to be a minor myth that cichlids liked their water soft and acid. Now, with the rise of the rift lake cichlid, the opposite myth has emerged. The truth is, of course, it depends on the cichlid.[/tangent]
