I think my guppy is pregnant because it has dark gravid spots on her sides, and she's getting bigger every minute. She is bending her body sideways, which is weird. Could it be because she's trying to push out babies, or what? Also, she is staying near the surface. Could it be stress, because I'm holding her and a small male guppy in a small 2.5 gal minibow. She's bedning like her fin and the meat before the skin sideways. Anyone ever had experience with this? Please help

ok

how long should it take about?

I had a guppy in labor for about 3 hours until one fry appeared. Then about 2 and a half hours for the next. It depends really on how comfortable she is.

k

Yeah, I don't know how comfortable she is because she is in a 2.5 gal with a small male. They live in there together, but someone said it would be better to isolate them, but I don't have room. Is this true? Plus it's night here, so I g2g sleep soon, so I will miss if anything happens.

The male will keep harrassing her and she will probally die from the stress of labor and harrassment.

What can I do?

Can I try putting in a divider that same with my 2.5 minibow? Would that help?
Or is the tank 2 small to divide for 2 fishies??

You could, that might hel but make sure you put in enough plants to keep the fry alive if you plan on keeping them! Good Luck!

1 More thing

So If you count, that give like 1.25 gal of space for each fish. Enough?
Well I'll try to see how it is if I keep it the way it is, but if she looks way 2 stressed 2moro, the divider is going in.

They are about an inch and a half when older so that is about right 1.25g's per fish!
