I come home, hes at the bottom with his tail really bent and curled, only one lateral fin rotating. Here I am extremely concerned, check water parameters...all good. So after few minutes he comes up to me and tail straightens, only one problem...his left lateral fin is up against his body not moving at all. As time went on I threw in a tiny shrimp pellet since it was his feeding time as I was searching online for reasons for this...and to my suprise, he was munching away at the pellet with the other fin now fully buzzing? Why on Earth would this happen, was some sympathy trick to get food?!?! I mean instantly, as the food dropped, he swam to it with the other fin working after holding it against his body and not moving it ONCE since I saw him bent.

yes it sounds to me as if he was sleeping. Funny cause today at the LFS I saw a sleeping algea blenny and they look soo funny they sleep with likeall four fins on the floor

Yeah my baby puffer I purchased few days ago did the same thing...curls up on the floor. These puffers are starting to remind me more and more each day of my pugs!
