my first frog paludarium or terrarium.

Any local hardwear store will have it in various sizes. It's easy to cut with a razor blade. The only flaw with that design is the water dish. If you could bury it so the top of the substraight is at the same height of the water dish. Also, you will need something for the frogs to use to get out the water dish. If you use a glass dish, they may have trouble getting out but a small piece of wood or a couple stones, that shouldn't too much of a problem.

i might can get some later on (this weekend or the next), but would daily sprying suffice for that time period? i have a dish right now. its not glass its plastic and made for reptiles. how should i keep the top on though?

I think for the time being they are fine in the current set-up. There is really no rush to turn the tank. As long as they have something to climb on, they will be fine. In the long run, however, turning the tank is a good idea but there is really no reason to hurry, so get all the supplies that you need, make a plan and then work on turning the tank.

ive actually got the frog in a 19 liter container for the time being. i might switch him over to a 55 liter cotainer when the tadpoles turn to baby frogs. then once i ship the crabs ill move them all over to that. so how do i keep the screen from falling?

Oh so noting is in this tank yet? The hinge/latch system described in the link would likely be the most secure but you could try to skip the hinge and go with a few latches that connect the screen to the tank.

Maybe look into conversion kits:

I don't think that site has one for a 20 long but I am sure there is one out there who does.

I just read more in that link and for the first product listed, they can do custom sizing which is what you would need if you couldn't find someone else who sold them.

whould a well grown Epipremnum aureum (pothos golden) be a good plant for the tank? i wont have much floor space to work with so i need like one or two taller plants. ive already got this plant and it seems to do good in almost no light.

Pothos vines get huge. Given any light it will outgrow your setup in a few months. I suppose you could try it but you'll have to keep it well pruned.
