These tentacle like things come out later in the day about 5 of them normally always from the same rock and they wave around any ideas?

Got bored with photoshop

First pic, normal things to have, some type of hard shelled worm I believe. I had a ton of them in the beginning as well.

Second pic, those are called Micro-Brittle starfish and usually never come out of the rocks completely.. only on rare occasions at night might you catch one out in the open. You will see the arms come out when you put food in the tank. They don't get much bigger than what you see in the pic.. they stay micro and don't grow into larger brittle stars.

Third pic.. wow, very cool photoshop job!

I just got my first bit of coral from my LFS it has zoanthids and something else on it i was so excited i forgot to ask what they were. If someone could help me identify it would be much appreciated. Also i paid $20 CDN for this frag is that a decent price???

Lookin' good! Be sure to take your time in stocking the tank.
SW is much trickier and takes a longer time to mature.
Be wary of adding too much too fast as you are working with a very, very new tank.

$20 CDN for a zoa frag? That's a really, really good steal.
My LFS sells zoa (small) frags for $40 and up.
I haven't ventured down that plank yet...though I wish to add a little color to my tank.

Keep it up and your tank is looking great!

keep those photos comming share your joys and sorrows of sw keeping with us.tank looks good.

looks great so far! I am impressed! I've been wanting to start S/W forever & a day myself but I know it's a lot more difficult than F/W. good luck & enjoy!

Fantastic start! As the others said Take the stocking slow, you got a great deal on that coral for sure! Keep us updated and photos are always appreciated!

My pistol shrimp can be a total d*ck to my cherub angel...im trading him in for a hawkfish. But they are by far the coolest, most beautiful shrimp, imho, that you can have. You dont see it all the time, but it's a cool specimen.

anyone know if certain s/w fish are not good for live rock/coral reef? clown fish are always cool & maybe a bennie. but do you like angels, triggers, groupers? wonder if they would be compatible in your tank - tho your tank may be too small for these fish. just a thought.

update

Some newish pics i will add a few more later
