Or the Carpinte is a bull dyke and the Cyanoguttatus is a lipstick lesbian.

Here's why they both lay eggs all the time at first is was the Carpinte with my Peacock Bass. Then when i added my Texas she started laying eggs. And they both established a territory and chase any other fish i put in that tank. They are exhibiting the same behavior of an old Texas pair a had four years ago.

And to make matters worse they look at me like

"Hey, Joe when are you going to take us to the fertillity clinic?"

And im like "Listen it's gonna be hard to take you there cause the wait is too long!!!"

Seriously is this for real or what?

Sometimes fish will just become gravid with no sexual stimulation, and female cichlids are well-known for laying eggs together, making it very tough on the aquarist who thinks that he or she might have a pair. There may be female cichlids with an affinity for other female cichlids, but they do not need to be termed as above when you are posting to a public board.
