My How To on a Fake Rock Wall as a Tank Background

Thanks all !!! Its a fun project.

Proycraft - yes, give it a try - you can create some nice results for a low cost. If you have questions, just post away.

Tyler - no, I planned the rock to be aminly on the left side with it at a lower level on the right side - so I could see the Blue "water" background and enhance an underwater cave effect. My pics and the angle of them probably don't show off the right side good enough - actually the fake wall there ranges from 6" high where it hides the bubble wand - to 10" high on the cave next to it. However, I built up my gravel substrate in this area and extra 2 inches (at least for now) to create a hilly area with my petrified wood rock forest - LOL. So several inches of the fake rock are hidden there

Excellent job! Uh, could I possibly get you to make a background for my tanks? For a nominal fee, of course...;)

I actually spoke to the owner of Back To Nature Backgrounds in Europe. When I called him, he was driving down the Autobahn in his native Sweden! LOL. Needless to say, we did not speak very long.

He did manage to give me a number to a distributor of his products here in the states--in Dallas, TX. And you are absolutely right, those backgrounds are e-x-p-e-n-s-i-v-e!

But now that you have inspired me to build my own--"HI-HO--HI-HO---it's off to Home Depot I go"...
