My new Betta

I never thought I would buy a Crowntail Betta, but this one is beautiful! Here are some pics. Please forgive the cheapo backround job.

he is a beauty, Beeker.... any chance you can get a clearer picture of him when he's flared?

He has got some really nice color on him.. congradulations on your new fish. As for your back ground, don't sweat it. If you like, instead of what you are using, you could get a piece of black cloth or any color you want and hang that on the back. When its dirty or you get tired of it, just wash it.

Thanks! He is really great. He has quite the personality too. I'm glad I got him. I never thought I'd buy a Betta, but I'm glad I did. This forum erased a lot of the myths about a lot of fish for me.

He is in my 10 gal with my baby Platys. They all get along great, but they also like to harass eachother. It is quite an entertaining tank.

I love him dearly. I have to admit that he knows I'm a sucker. I'm doing my best to not let him train me though. He always tries to get me to feed him. He follows me and acts hungry. I have the urge to give him more, but I know better. It is tough though. I also love to watch him eat. If only I could show you all a video of him. I'm sure you have seen the antics before with your own Bettas. I'm hooked. My Bettas and Comets are the dogs of the fish world. What personality! Man's best fish friends.
