I went to my LFS and found this wonderful fish all alone happy as could be. I have been waiting for one to come in and he said he got 7 in this shipment and by time I got there was only 1 left. I will be picking up 2 more soon as he gets some more in. Any recommendations. I also have 2 true SAE in there with him if they wont get along I will move them should they be alright?

here is a pic of my beautiful fish and my ugly substrate.

I will snap a few more pics after he calms down a lil bit. The flash on camera seemed to make him hide.

Nice looking loach!

Nice loach!

Yes, agree with rbishop, he'll be fine with the SAE's. But you definitely need to get him some buddies. They are a schooling fish. Nice loach! Had I not been able to get the sidthimuni's, Kubotai were my next choice.

Nice pickup, I have a group of 5 of them myself. They're one of the few fish that actually look better as they grow larger. I reluctantly passed up picking up a single specimen at Petco earlier this week, odd numbers seem to work better.
Do the fish AND yourself a favor, and get rid of that gravel. The problem with any dyed/colored gravel is that you get tired of looking at it sooner or later. Natural gravel or sand (sand is better for bottom feeders, food doesn't get "lost" in it) will look just as good in 5-10 years as it does when it's new IME.

My Sae schools quite often with my kubotia so you should be ok on that. I would sugest to get a few more, the more the merrier for most botia sp.

man, he's pretty...
