is that an alligator? if it is where did you get it and how much. I'd like one in my backyard.

Be a mite too chilly for em in the backyard Seattle, you'd need a gator room!

Yeah it would be too cold up here. Maybe in the summer? I'm pretty sure those beasts are illegal here but if I see a dealer selling those for cheap I'd be tempted into buying one.

I want to see the same pose next year!! They grow fast and require a lot of space and care. We have a gator farm here in Lakeland, many of the residents are ex-pets. Both gators and camins. I wish you much success with this endevour!!

knifemaker, I'm in central Florida also. have you ever seen one in a pet store here? I haven't. I'm thinking gators should be illegal here as pets... god knows we have enough in the wild. LOL

Good luck with him Steve.... he'll be more than a handful soon enough! :D

Not sold as pets in Florida, very illegal. We have some HUGE ones here in Lakeland. I rarely back the boat away from them but several around here command that respect!!

The Ortega River here in Jacksonville has some really large ones in there. There are signs posted on the banks saying "No water sking for the next 3 miles."

I like to slowly cruise my boat up this river just to see the gators in the wild. At night it can be a little spooky though. All you see is their eyes glowing in the water.
