My new PUP!

well i'm taking him to a few vet friends to see if they can give me more answers to his background. someone mentioned mountain something and i remember the guy telling me they thought cause of this colors that they though he was mixed with some breed called a burnese mountain dog or something. anyways who knows as for personality i spent all day yesterday and today getting to know him , i tested him many ways like grabbing his fur like a lil kid would which some dogs snap at that but he just licked and licked lol i also pet him while hes eating to see if he would growl but nothing, and ive been watching him around smaller dogs and biggers dogs and strangers and kids and i havent seen any aggression. Only only thing i have noticed is that he is dazed at birds. Any time he sees a bird he gets in this weird stance and just like stays perfectly still and concentrated, something ive seen haunting dogs do....oh and on his under coat and belly and chest he has like some faints spots, dont know if u can see in the pics....ok i'm babling sorry :p  :lipssealedsmilie:

yeah, his colors do resemble the Bernese Mountain dog but since it's got such short hair, I thought swiss Mountain. They are both pretty breeds...similar and only different by coat length. Let me find some pics...
the bernese:

and the Great Swiss

And there's also the Appenzeller Mountain dog which has the same coloration but a curled tail.

OMG that swiss thing looks exactly the same :) i think you solved the case thanks!:worthy: :worthy:

How adorable!!! I was going to say he looked more like a rott mix than a pit mix...all the animal shelters seem to say Pit or lab mix. But I believe that mountain dog hit the spot!!

I would wonder about pit... the face isn't quite right for that... but you never know... for some reason if there is even the slightest HINT that there MAY be SOME pit in the dog they immediatly label it as such at most pounds

But he is an adorable puppy! Congrats and enjoy all the time you have with him... I know he will with you!
