My new Russian Tortoise

Well they can't swim, and most of them hate water but mine loves to soak. I soak her every other day in a gallon tub thing I bought specifically for that, but she also has a water dish big enough to climb right in and a lot of times I find her in there napping. It helps keep them hydrated and also they're programmed not to "go" unless it's raining or they find body of water because they come from desert type conditions and they need to retain as much moisture as possible.

Thanks guys. Just finished moving her into her new digs and she went nuts running around exploring all the space. It's so much bigger, she looks so small in there. I'll have some pics up either tomorrow or next week. It' bigger and my favorite, more secure in the event the cats bypass my security and infiltrate my bedroom.
 
explore your camera and see if it has a setting for "macro", or one indicated by a flower icon... you'll get much better close up pictures using that. =)

and she's pretty.
