my 8" australian pearl joins my 21" silver arowana in a 75g tank...i had the mix for almost 48 hrs now and no sign of aggresion from both arowana...i now call them david and golliath

Thats pretty funny.
My long-fin danio tried to get into the rummynose crew because he is theonly danio in the tank. He will swim with them, and sometimes they follow him. It's pretty cool to watch.

Awesome, keep this updated because I too have a 20" Silver Aro and want to put something like an Aus. in with him (200 gal.)

their main diet are beef heart and chicken heart...and sometimes i give them live feeders...
That's good to know cause all the web site and people in the tropical fish industry advises against it due to the fact the the Aust Aro is very aggressive toward the silver which prevented me from purchasing the aust aro. Guess all the corroboration doesn't do any good.
FWIW: My silver SWALLOWED a 5" turq. Severum a few years ago. it also ate one 5" albino oscar and killed another. Just recently it tried to eat a full grow 13+" tinfoil barb but it didnt work out as planned by the aro. He did eventualy kill it by just holding it in hi smouth for few hours and then spit it out eventually when it realized it was waaay to big to eat..
