In that video he was in the tank for the winter. it was a small 40 gallon tank but i live in north carolina and i had just got him and i didnt know if he would survive outside in the pond for the winter. As of now this video only has about 500 views. i am hoping yall can get these fish more popular and more appreciated by sharing these videos to stop people from killing so many of them in the wild.

This video is of me putting him back into the pond so he could have more room to swim around. This was about two months ago and he was about 6 inches. Now after two months in the pond he has grown to 10 or 11 inches.
About the pond: The pond has 2 shallow ends on each side about 6 inches deep and gets about 4 and a half feet in the middle. The pond is from 800 to 100 gallons.
About the gar: The gar lives with a largemouth bass that is about 3 fourths the size of him. He attacks it every once in a while but it escapes because it is a little too big for the gar. I mainly geed the gar minnows creek chubs, shiners and sunfish. Occasionaly i find him some feeder goldfish. He has a good appetite and eats what he can fit in his mouth.
