I have a peaceful community tank, that is healthy and pretty well attended. My platty's are breeding regularly, and many survive. I think the adults are 4th Generation. One of my Platty's just wont seem to want to get off the ground. However one of the bigger adults just wont stop laying on the ground, its colour is good, tail is red. Ans only moves when a young male comes around for a checkout.

Any thouights???

Yes it seems to eat.... Inbreeding! Well that is definetly happened, I've seeing sons mating with mothers, fathers with daughters, brothers with sisters..... But the laying on the bottom just started, I watched her for about 30 minutes last night, she looks physically well. I read on a thread about constipation, what do you feed to cure that and how could you get 1 fish to eat something and others to leave that food alone?

I'm not sure how to get only one fish to eat the food, but if you use slightly blanched peas with the skin removed, its ok for the other fish to eat it too, as long as you dont feed it too often.

Hope he gets better!

Yeah, just cook a pea, take the shell off, and feed them all. It wont hurt the others.
Do be prepared for a gravel vac within a day or two of this. It sorta cleans the fish right out...
