There are, or were, four bumblebee gobies in the tank with the betta. I'm only seeing three, but that doesn't mean that it's the same three!! Anyway... I figured they'd be good, cute company for the betta, and they've been there for quite a while. But the betta, every time he sees one of the gobies goes chasing after it! I know some of them can be ok with other fish... but obviously this isn't one of those guys! (I think he's got a complex because he's pink and needs to prove to everyone that he really is a manly fish....)

Now, the little tank that the baby angels are in for their few weeks of quarantine is what I'd planned for the gobies to be going into after the angels go to the Amazon tank. I know that they (gobies) are disease free, and the baby angels are doing really well, so I was wondering if it might be ok to put them in with the baby angels now, instead of waiting until the angels are moved? But I wanted to get some opinions before I did that.

And yes, these are the freshwater species of the bumblebee gobie. I've done my research. ;) I'd like to get more, if my lfs ever stocks them again. Little gobie tank would be fun! Especially if they are not as shy and stressed as they are in the betta's tank. :(

Thanks!

No one with an opinion on this? I'd put them in my South East Asia, where they would fit the biotope, but they're tiny and I'm afraid the weather loach would eat them. And I might never see them again, even if he didn't eat them, since there are soooo many places for them to hide now that I replanted!

Ok, I've moved them. And oh boy! I don't think I've seen this much of them, and especially not this active, since I bought them! They are swimming around and just enjoying not being chased down! Their little faces went from stressed out white from netting and transport to happy black in record time! Zippy zippy zippy - perch on a wall. Zippy zippy zippy - perch on a rock. They are so darned cute! Now I remember why I got them! :lol2: The itty baby angels... well... they're leaving them alone, except for a curious poke now and then. They seem happier, too, and are holding their color better than they have since they've been here. I guess they were lonely! Or their new little tank mates have given them some confidence. Either way, both species seem to be better than they were. So it's good!

Awww glad it had a happy ending. I have 10 I just LOVE them! They are in a community tank, active and have no problems being harassed thankfully.
