Nice fish, and nice pics of them too. What PH level should beta be kept in anyhow?
 
Beautiful betta, I have also heard people call that color pattern dalmatian.

Don't do anything to actually change your pH though. Your tap water will be just fine for a Betta if it's safe for you to drink. Maybe you didn't mean you were going to add anything to change it though.
 
I would never use PH up or down if that's what you meant, but our tap water I recently discovered is like 8.4+ (top end of my test and may even exceed its ability to read) so I've bought a couple 5 gal jugs and am doing water changes on all our tanks with filtered water that tests at about 6.4, so I'll be slowly reducing the PH naturally by using the softer water instead of our tap. Nice catch though. I'd have prolly assumed the same thing after reading how I worded my last post. :)
 
Well if it makes you feel any better my pH is 8.2 or so and kh is 14 and I've got 22 tanks of fish that do great in it, some are Bettas & Discus. Glad you didn't mean you were going to dump chemicals on the little guy :-)
