I have a 200 gallon discus tank with five hill streams in there and i just found some babies:dance:

Is this pretty common for these guys? I found the fry living in my sump I am thinking of moving them to my desk top planted tank and let them grow out a bit.

Just thought it was cool and wanted to share

Here is a good pic of the adults from another site mine were hiding

And here are my fry as I was putting them in my planted nano

I found three total in my sump that I captured and moved. Now they share a tank with pipes and shrimp.

Not too unusual for them to spawn, though I don't think anyone has caught them in the act yet. Congrats on the fry, looks great.

Awwww..... so cute.

I think they glued the eggs randomly to the glass of the tank i find little clusters of two - four eggs through out the tank on the glass

Nice looking fry.

Congrats !! The trick may now be to get them to stop !! I have 10 adults or so in a 46 gal tank, and they have been breeding for at least 2 years. They are really tiny when they are first born. I check my HOB filters (AC) when I clean them to see if there may be more in the tank. Here's 1 of mine

Congrats! So cute, my fav of hillstreams. I'm surprised they spawned & hatched at discus temps. Sewellia seem to have a wide range of acceptable tank conditions.
