My fish are my babies
ok all water qualities are great just did water change today this morning when i woke up the mid section of one of its stalks is melting away or rotten looking i cleaned it and made sure it was in proper flow an it is. no corals are within range to sting or attack it so im stumped on wut happend. all other organisms are fine in the aquarium/

look REALLY closely at every single inch of the coral even in the fuzzy branches. see if they will clsoe up when you touch them and try to spot a type of nudicranch.
but your water levels (temp?) and your livestock list as well as a picture would be great

i cant get any good pictures cause my digital cam is broken and my web cam is no good for it. but there arnt ne organisms on it and ive had the coral for well over 1.5 years. the only thing i can think that may be wrong is that i poor in the suppliments for the aquarium and the food almost over the coral because hat is where the main output is i moved it furter back but im not even sure if that would do anything to it. asfor the tank mates its all listed on my signature juts click on the link. oh and i was told about a iodine tip from another aquarium store in town but it sounded risky to me ne one heard of that before?

i dont dose iodine because i dont see a need to. i know some peopole who do it all the time though. however, iodine can be very very risky because jsut like everything else, if you dose too much (which is easy when using somethign like Lugol's solution which is avialible for your aquarium) then it can cause havoc

have you added anythign new to the tank recently or even in the past few months? even live rock?
i would suggest posting your levels also. what are you dosing? they wouldnt have a problem dosing right over the corals because your flow will jsut immediatly spread it out, but if you are dosing something that you arent testing for then it could hurt.

ph=8.2
temp=79.5
specific grav.=1.024
ALK=309ppm
Ammonia=.005ppm
nitrite=0
nitrate=5ppm
calcium=450ppm
phosphate=.02ppm
as for the live rock i did switch to a new aquarium as it says in my aquarium info but the live rock were form a system closely watched and treated at my work. as for the iodine i meant a dip not how much i use in the aquarium. all the solutions i use are labled under my tank info and have been the same for over 2.5 years. i use iodine because it is need for good growth of the xenia but i use Tech-I which is much more stable than lugos.

try dosing elsewhere for a bit and see if that helps, then GET UR CAMERA FIXED, without it its very hard to know whats the exact problem could be
