My 55 gallon Reef Tank
Equipt.-
Filtration: Fluval 405 with surface skimmer and turbo twist 9w UV sterilizer, CPR PRO 40 Refugum w/skimmer,powerheads.
Lighting: Dual Actinic 420nm/460nm 6,700k/10,000k Satalite power compact 24 hour lighting system with built in LED moon light,and 175w metal halide
Other: Titanium heater with external heat control and digital thermometer ~80
75 lbs live rock from a ten year old system as well as 45lbs of live sand from same system
Added elements:Kent; coral accel, coral vite,Tech-I, Essential elements, calcium, buffer system,marine-c,maginesium,strotium,iron,reef vital DNA,blackpowder, and spectra-vital.
Food: fish; mysis, brine,algae(green&brown),speralina brine,ocean plankton. Corals; phytoplex,phytoplan, microvert, chromoplex,zooplex, and marine snow.
Fish: Tomato clown, red firefish, yellow watchman goby, bangai cardinal, , Mandarin fish, scooter dragonet,Black reidi seahorses(mate died in sea apple incident),baby blue tang,baby purple tang(tangs get along and are being monitored in size).
Inverts: cleaner shrimp,~8hermits,red forma star, 2 turbo snails, 14 margareta snails, nasasarius snails, electric flame scallop,6 hawian dusters, colored dusters, and blue finger sponge,thorny oyster, christmas tree worms.
Corals:Green bulb anenome, galaxia coral, pulsing xenia, var. mushrooms, Alviapora, yellow sea whip, green star polyps, snake polyps, tree leather,red brain,moon coral, frogspawn, torch coral,toadstool(scarcophyton), encrustin gorgorian, carnation coral, button zoos, and colored zoos.
25 gallon Preditor tank
Emperor 400 bio wheel,100 wt heater, 20 lbs live sand, 28 lbs live rock.
Fish: snowflake moray, and black (colored) frog/Anglerfish.
Inverts:electric blue leg hermit, 2 red leg hermits, margareta snails.
i moved my 29gallon tank into the 55 and did it sucessfully without causing any fatilities, the animals are doing great and the corals look better than ever under the metal halide lamp. I am slowly adding new organisms as i hand pick them from he whole sale warehouses. about 55 months back in the 29 gallon a sea apple died and cause the death of my clam, 4 fish and my xenia colonies, the tank then recovered and was moved into the 55 hex 3 weeks ago.
