my myrio filigree's needles are turning brown and disintegrating, i am not adding co2, trying to avoid it but i may have to do a diy system soon. I have been using flourish excel, one capful a day, and flourish, a capful twice a week, and the myrio is looking pretty bad. the rest of the plants look ok and my melon sword keeps growing crazy, mind i have had these plants only little more than a week. is myrio a little harder to keep, or should I be adding something else? also, i made the mistake of using well water that had gone through a water softer system, so my alkalinity and ph are quite high, have done two 10 gallon water changes in a week with ro and distilled water to try and lower these, but when I test it makes not even the slightest dent (see post on lace rock in general freshwater). should I do larger water changes, like 50%, (10 gallons is like doing about 25% in this 46)? thinking of maybe just ditching most of the myrio and doing another plant. any thoughts?
