which is better for my tropical fish ( 1 German blue Ram, 8 Neon tetras , 6 penguin tetras) to have as part of there diet?

Variety is the best food for your fish. I feed NLS flake/pellets and Ken's earthworm flake as a staple, but "treat" with bloodworms, freshwater mysis, cyclopesee, and brine shrimp, both adult and baby.
Both! The more variety. I feed a mixture of ken's flakes and some tetra color as a staple. But my fish relish brine shrimp, spirulina brine shrimp and bloodworms. My convicts don't like bloodworms as much as the shrimp. Other fish I've had such as guppies and tetras, prefered the bloodworms. So, I'd say, get both!
I also feed both. For the smaller mouthed fish, the bloodworms are easier to eat while my larger fish seem to go for the mysis more.
