I bought a pleco today at the LFS, it said Gold Pleco on the sticker on the tank, however when I search, all I can find are Gold Nugget Pleco's, and the one I have is definately not that. This one is pure gold, and TINY...he's only about an inch right now. Anyone know how big these pleco's get? He is currently living in my 55 gallon.

If you have a piccy that may help.

Sailfin plecs can grow pretty big dependant on tank size

It's probably an albino bristlenose (ancistrus sp.4). They're great fish...superior algae eaters and only get to about 4-5 inches. I breed them and get about 50 fish per spawn. Babies are 1.5" at about 3 months when I sell them. Feed it zuccini slices boiled in the microwave for 2-3 minutes.

can you post a picture of what one of them looks like. that sounds like what I have and wanted to be sure

here are two of my adults with a bunch of 1"+ young:

The male will have the large bristles, the female will not.
