Hello all!

About a month ago, I purchased a Eclipse 3-gallon tank and have had one mystery snail in it since. I've noticed there are now a few baby snails, but that is beside the point.

What types of fish can I add that won't bother the snail? I was looking at either some glass fish or neon tetras. Would these be acceptable for my tank?

Thanks! :dance2:

A betta might do OK in a tank like that. Just make sure it's cleaned regularly.

i got 3 gold mystery snails in my 90 gallon tank along with orandas, ryukins, and lionheads. they get along :duh:

If you put a betta in there just make sure that it doesnt attack the snail...i have had bettas that liked to attack snails and some that didnt so just make sure you watch them for a bit. Other than that a betta would be my choice.

mystery snails are NOT asexual and require a male and female to reproduce. the females will lay a clutch of eggs above the waterline. if some baby snails just "appeared" then you do not have an apple snail.

a 3g. tank is too small for any tetra. about your only option is a betta, which can sometimes be agressive to snails, sometimes not.

oh, almost forgot. a few endlers livebearers would work, if you can find them. they are very tiny (females 3/4" and males 1/2")

Sorry for the :rant2: hijacking, but what is exactly a mistery snail? It sounds to me like you got an unknown species and can't tell what it is.

Are mistery snails a species, a group or species, or evedry snail that don't belong to any group???

Also, I typed mistery and everyone else types mystery. Ehat's this all about?

I'll try to take a picture of the snail, if I can find my digital camera.

It looks like the snails that are listed as mystery snails at the LPS.

Either way, I have a ton of baby snails in the tank now but don't have the heart to get rid of them. I may have to ask the LPS if they'll accept them.
