I believe real apple snails, Pomacea canaliculata, the ones that get to be the size of apples, are illegal to pass over state lines. I had one years ago. They are awesome. But finding one now a day is tough. They will eat plants. This is one of the reasons they have become illegal to transport I believe. They are considered an invasive species in many states.
