Hello everyone, I'm looking to get back into an old hobby that I had when I was younger. I haven't had a fish tank set up since 98. Didn't have much information when I was younger about cycling my tanks either so now I'm taking the long route and doing research before I jump into it again.
-I've spent the past 6 months reading up on saltwater tanks, so I spend the next few trying to remember anything I can about freshwater set ups.
As far as tanks I'm going to buy my step son a 10G tank for christmas, and I have (2) 29G tanks as well. (One long, the other tall).
When I was a kid I didn't know anything about cycling the tanks, I may get flamed for this but I was 7 years old I didn't know any better.
I would basically add the drops that the pet store recommeded to me, waited a few days (4) and then I'd bag acclimate my fish.
Not sure how it was they survived me a few years but they did....
Anywho I'm hoping to learn more about tanks, and species as well....
