I live in the desert with summer temperature over 100F (38C) day time, often in the range of 106-116F (41C-46C), with night time in the upper 80s (upper 20s C). If I would to have tank in a non Air Conditioned home, without chiller but with strong water movement especially surface movement and aeration. Can some or any tropical fish survive or in such high temperature?

I am leaning towards the gouramis, as they are supposed to be rice paddy fish, when the field dries out, they can live in small paddle of water often with full son. I assume water temperature must be fairly high under those conditions ... perhaps that's why they breath air.

Any inputs?

Well, unless you can find/get some Desert Pup Fishes, most tropicals live in the 75-82 range.

Discus, Cory Sterbais, and Cardinal tetras can take temps in the mid 80s, but that is about it.

I cant think of too many ornamentals that could take that high of temperature. Some of tilapia thrive in heat. Even some of the loaches but anything over 90f is too much and will lead other issues, since they(loaches)can be sensitive to water quality. Some of the African catfish are very hardy, so maybe look into those species. Either way you'll need a tremendous amount of aeration to even attempt to keep any fish at such high temperature due to the low dissolved oxygen levels present

Cardinal tetras and discuss like mentioned. Gotta be up to the task of discuss keeping though. Also like said, gourami are tough. At any rate, higher water temps may require more oxygenation depending on your stocking and setup and may require more frequent water changes.

You guys are right, oxygenation will probably be key, therefore I thought gourami with their air breathing ability may survive ... don't know but may. On a side note: I have a small in ground pond at the same location, it's 400-500g and about 4ft deep but in full sun. Gold fishes seems to survive and doing quite well actually.
