Yes my Red Bellies are named Pygo and Nate (their scientific names) and one is slightly bigger than the other, then one will bite the others back fin and that is how I easily tell for a little bit...
Rouge and Deutch. One has a dot near its mouth, so I named it Rouge after Moulan Rouge (sp?) And Deutch is usually fatter like one of my teachers, named Mr. Deutch, so there you have it.
I have named the bettas- Daquiri, makai, L'Ninio, and Louie, and also my corycat-Joey
And my 3 painted whiteskirts--Blu,Pinky,Rudy, and my Kuhli Loach is Slorg...My brother named him... and other then that i cant tell them apart

and the fish that started it all was a albino paradise named floyed cuz he was a pinkish color and i like pink floyed so the name made sense to me. i have a lot more fish but no names for them

I imagine that this gets harder when naming soooo many fish....I haven't named my TB's cuz theres 6 and they so small and similar....

Plecos - Sam-I-am and The Son of Sam
betta - Big Red Baby Buddah (cuz hes red and in a tank w/ a red buddah figure)
Puffers - Puff daddy and hootie
i name the groups of fish that are harder to tell apart just as a group
d. blue gouramis - Crips
Cherry Barbs - Bloods
african dwarf frogs - the three stooges ( cuz they are goofy)
ghost catfish - Ghost's of xmas Past Present & Future and The Robotic Ghost of Christmas Past from the Future <-(ATHF)

I have only name one of my fish and that is my figure 8 puffer "P-Diddy" who lives by himself.
My 29 gallon has two blue rams I want to name Fred and Ethel (Lucy Show) but I am not sure the LFS actually sold me a male and a female though they said they were. They are so hard to sex and it seems that there are lots of theories on sexing them but none seem to be sure fire. I may have Fred and Ricky or Lucy and Ethel.
All others are just the neons, cories, rasboras, the guppy, easy to find otto and invisible otto and lastly "P-Diddy food" (rotating ghost shrimp)h
