Naming Fish!

My aunt used to have a fish named Doc, and I know little kids like to name their fish. But does anyone else here name their fish?

I have:

Cory- a panda corydora
Dora- a dwarf platy
Mickey- a dwarf Mickey Mouse platy
Otto- an otocinclus
Pleco- a plecostomus
Jacques- a betta
Heart and Soul- bleeding hearts
and guppies I don't name.

what about you?

Well my sons betta (actually the "family betta") is called Mr. Hanky - but i secretly call him "propane" cause to me his colours and the way his fins ripple look just like a propane flame.
 
Yeah, some of them...

Riddick- Jaguar Cichlid
Junior- Smaller Jag.
Pedro- Nicuargensus Cichlid (did I spell that right?)
Rosita- Nic.
Jorge- Nic.
Godzilla- Pleco
Dum Dum- Betta

We have some more fish, but haven't named them.

;)
 
Mine:
Goldfish- Goldie, yeah, real creative, I know
Lobster- Dr. Zoidberg (you have to watch Futurama to get it)

My girlfriends:
Zig Zag eel- Squiggles
Spotted eel- Spot (yeah, real creative agian, I know)
Betta- Mr. Bubbles
Several other unnamed fish.
 
I wanted to name my blue crayfish zoidberg... but he's just not red so it didn't stick. haha

My roommate and I have a tinfoil barb called "Barbara."

None of the other fish have names, except my red tail shark, who is "The Shark." Sort of like "The Cheat" from homestarrunner. As in... Whats up The Shark?

My sisters kids call their betta "Einstein." I guess they think he is a pretty smart fish. =)
 
My oscar is named Cell.

...as in, Cell from the DragonBall Z toon. He eats everything that gets anywhere near his mouth, then spits out the bad stuff.... like shoes. lol

The 11-inch Plec is named Lefty. Since he was raised with Cell, he only has full fin growth on his left side.
 
I usually name my fish based either on behavoir or whatever just pops in my mind.

Betta: Noodle (was walking through the pasta Isle when I was trying to figure a name for him)

Black Ballon Molly: This
White Ballon Molly: That
Dalmation mollies: No current name (But, I call the big male Beast)
3 Zebra Danios: Sharpie triplets
Cory Cat: Ugly

Note: Everything but the Noodle was named by my nephew, who is 5 years old.
 
My red and white ryukin (Goldfish) is named Fatty.
My Orange Ryukin is named Sparkles

My rainbow shark is named Mr. Sharky (I know its creative :duh: ) Most of my schooling fish are not named though.
