native TX aquatic plants?

I would realy like to put some plants in my tank that are native to the water ways here in south TX. Ive looked around but cant seem to find anything. Are there any local folks wth an idea on this subject.

I'm not local to TX, but Dwarf Hairgrass is native to pretty much every state. Finding it in the wild is another issue. If you do find it, most likely it's in an area where you can't pick it, like a state/national park.

I dont really reccomend using wild plants.... its quite possible that they could have parasites and all other manner of hitchhikers on them.

You can use wild plants, just quarantine or use the bleach method. The problem is, obtaining them without breaking any laws.

I've read that there are some wild crypts in the river in or near Austin.
