Need a $10,000 Brittlestar?

Looks photoshopped to me.

LOL, funny. Just because of an odd marking pattern that kind of looks like a smiley face does not turn a $10-$20 starfish into a $10,000 starfish. Heck, let me pull out my tiger banded star and get a sharpie out and I can make a $20,000 Star of David starfish and some religious nut will buy it (like the Virgin Mary/Grilled Cheese the seller refers to in the comments). I think that person is very confused. Reefkeepers are a little off the deep end, but nothing like religious fanatics that will pay insane amounts of money for a potato chip that looks like jesus or a grilled cheese that looks like the virgin mary.

I just sent him this question.

You do realize this about starfish right? Especially the last line.. oops, from looking at your pictures, I guess not.

From LiveAquaria:
The Brittle Sea Star is very intolerant of sudden changes in oxygen levels, salinity and pH of the water, and cannot tolerate copper-based medications. The drip acclimation method is highly recommended for all Sea Stars due to their intolerability to changes in water chemistry. It should never be exposed to air while handling.

well he is smiling? and you can never tell about ebay, there are some people that have nothing better to do with their money,..????
never know till you try right......

i love the responses in the ebay add,...:)

Yet another person trying to take advantage of others by trying to sell something that is supposedly "rare." It aggravates me every time I see it. Then again, there are people gullible enough to buy it. If someone does, this bozo just made a $9,995 profit, one can bet :). Don't buy cars for ebay trolls.

Maybe the next one will have Madonna on it and be worth $100,000.00 and if it wept blood.... WOW!!
