Ive started to dread my water changes, im tired of lifting 5 gal buckets and spilling water everywhere.

I need either a manual or electric water pump that i can place at the bottom of my 45gal trashcan and transfer all the water into my tank. anyone know of such a product? ive tried searching but only found waterfall pumps w/ 2' max uplift and industrial pumps that transfer absurd amounts of water.

This is the same thing I was looking for before someone told me about Python. I'm not sure if it will work in your case but have a look. It comes in 25ft and 50ft version, I think you can extend it still.

i use the the 25ft python and put the hose right out the basement window water runs right down the slanted sidewalk into the street lol.

try a sump pump...
I am using a quiet one 6000 with 1506 gph and 12 ' max head you can find that one for less than $90 this one is submersible.
but you may not need quite that much

Go to walmart in the fishing section and ask for an aerator that is located in the bilge pump section, it has a red top and a blue bottom with suction cups and also a white pvc stem coming out the side. It costs about 20$ and works great for me the only problem is that it runs from DC so youll need a spare car battery wich is easier than packing 5 gallon buckets around. On the top of the aerator it says bilge pump 360 gph. Next all you need to do is place it your new water. Oh almost forgot, go to local hardware store with your pump and get the proper fittings to connect some 3/8" id vinyl tubing wich is sold by the foot so you can buy enough for your needs. I took the 5/8" od hose and squeezed it into a 3/4" pvc fitting and fit it onto the existing pvc that came with the pump. whole project cost less than 40$ us. Hope this helps.

I use a mag5 that runs my auto top off. I fill the 30 gln trash can with water and declor unplug the pump vac the gravel and plug it back in. It doesn't fill real fast but it does the job.
