I need an idea of how to aquascape one of my tanks. I will have 4 tanks next to each other, and I want each one to look as different as possible. Tank 3 is Saltwater, so it will have liverock.

Tank 4 will look something like this http://www.mongabay.org/fish/images/steinhardt/lake_tanganyika_00.jpg

Tank 1 looks like the attached pic, only it has a blak background on now. I want tank 2 (20 long) to look natural and cool, but extreemly different than the other 3. Tank 2 will be freshwater. I dont want to mess with live plans. Thanks for the ideas, and pics would definatly help. It will probably have breeding convicts, but I havent made up my mind yet.

Thanks for the link YoFishboy, ill check it out. My first post was extreemly confusing as the tank numbers on my description didnt match the numbers on my signature, so I edited it for more clarity. The tank in the link will have the african cichlids. The tank that im undecided on will most likly have convict cichlids. Thanks again.

Consider, if you will, only one pair of convicts for the 20g tank. I tried to have two pairs of cons in a 30g regular, and one pair quickly established dominance and battered the other. There really isn't enough space for them to coexist without trouble in a 20g or 20g L.

Sorry to interupt - in that attached picture, theres a heater that is exactly like my new one. Is it safe for it to be completely submerged like that??? I only wonder because on mine, there is a line that the water is suposed to be at right under the black peice at the top there.

Charlie - your link doesn't work by the way ;)
