Need an Id Please

Has anyone else seen one of these things in there tank, or happen to know what it is? I know the tube is a feather duster, but I more concerned with the white "mass" around it. It is spreading, it seems to be a filter feeder of some sort I think.:help:

It's a sponge. You can tell by the syphons surronding it. Great filter feeders. Means your tank is doing good.

Yup. I have quite a lot of them. They come and go depending on the nutrient levels in your tank. Nothing to worry about.

yep i got some too, you also get them in different colours!

Awesome thank you. I am glad that my tank is doing well enough for things to start appearing almost overnight. Believe me I will be back regularly with all kinds of weird things in my tank.
Does anyone else have weird mollusks in there tank? I have either oysters, or some other type of bi-valve in my tank and have found no pics anywhere to tell me what they are.

My tank is nearing in on two years old. I miss the new surprises that come in the first year. Maybe I should add more live rock (took me six months of live rock anonymous to break my addition addiction)!
