It's okay; that's the normal look of a C. macrolepidotus.

I like Polyphemus or Polly/Pauly for short for a one-eyed fish. I forget what I called my C. ambiacus before it died...I'll bet I went with Cyclops.

Remember, something I've since learned--the more obscure the reference behind the name, the more fun it is explaining!

NOOOOOOO!!! "Lucky" as a name is the kiss of death. Ask most veterinarians. Personally, I like Pirate, too. Or One-Eyed Willie, but that sounds more like something from a western. Good luck!!

I feel very sorry for your fish. He must have been so stressed out to have his"Eye" eaten out by bigger and more agreesive fish. I hope the best for Pirate and his only eye left. Please try to make the rest of his life the best for him.

I think one eyed willie makes him sound like he has a lot of character so thats what I would go with.
