Hi guys,

I'm not new to fishkeeping but a friend of mine asked me for some help regarding his outdoor pond. The problem is I have no experience with ponds or the equipment involved. I was hoping some of you guys could help me direct him where to look. Below is the e-mail he sent me. If you need anymore information, I could try finding that out for you guys. Any help would be appreciated.

"I need your help in identifying a well supplied fish place that might have a prefilter for my Pondmaster mag-drive utility pump. The item I'm looking for is like a stiff sponge which is about 6"x8" x3" with a 1/2-3/4" hole in the middle of the side. The shop I previously purchased them at has closed and I have't found them on line. I think that they might be produced locally. I dont thing the plsatic bag that it came in had a manufacturers label. The ones on line are a bit fancier and complicated. I think that the pump is also used as a sump pump. I use it in my pond and its 1200gph. Thanks for your help."

yea sorry I figured that's what it might be too. I've already e-mailed him back to confirm the model number of his pump along with a link to the prefilter pads. However, the prefilter pads don't match the dimensions he described. I'll let you know if it turns out to be something else.

Thanks so much!!!
