Overdriven bulbs have a shorter lifespan, so what you save in setup cost you loose in replacing bulbs. You could look into 48" HO T-5's as well. They have individual reflectors and carry a very high par value. They become very popular with reef tanks. They also take up much less room in your hood.
Need help getting high wattage 48" bulbs....

guess i am a idiot but my plants are growing like crazy so i think thats all that matters. i am the first to say go with ahsupply if you have the money and i am not saying my lighting system is the best. mines cheap and it works what more can anyone ask for?
