Go fish yourself.
Monday was my boss' birthday. I spent 3 whole days at work last week cutting up all the office post-its with a pair of scissors. I had enough to fill up an entire gallon.

I sneaked up behind him and dumped the entire gallon all over him and yelled "Happy Birthday!" (I made sure to swish it all through the air so they were flying around for a nice effect).

They went in his hair and eyes and mouth and clothes, in his bag, in his desk drawers, and even went into his computer. I guess the problems started when they went into the computer. About 30 minutes later the computer started making strange noises and overheating, then a cloud of something came out the back, and the computer stopped working altogether. IT cannot fix it.

Yesterday my company told me they were going to garnish my wages to pay for the computer and they want me to clean up the mess (the cleaning people got mad when they saw it and refused to clean it up, WTH???) They are also saying that I wasted company time because I spent 3 days cutting up Post-Its instead of actually working & they want to take away 3 of my vacation days.

They have no right to do this to me! I personally feel that this is entirely my boss' fault, since he is my supervisor & he was clearly not supervising me at all, and therefore he is the one who should pay for all the damages.

Can I take legal action against my company/boss?

So it is your stance that your boss has nothing better to do than to make sure every employee under him is not cutting up post-its, which also may be misconstrued as destroying company property. This is the reason why office pranks are not advisable IMHO. Truth is you did waste company time as well as destroy a computer. So I would guess no there is no legal action that can be taken.

Thru anarchy there is progress

Yes. He is a supervisor. He should have been supervising. IMHO this is all his fault. Bad management.

It took you 3 days to cut up a gallon's worth of post-its? That's...special. :D

It would have taken less time but I occasionally got distracted with work related things, which I pushed onto others. Plus, the scissors I was using were crap.

Yeah, its tough when they only let you out of your room for an hour a day, and give you these things for arts and crafts time
