If they were my tanks... First I'd add more subrtrate and give it slopes. Then I'd move the volcanic rock a bit more off center to the left. Stick some Cuba Pearl in the crevices. Then I'd surround the rock with medium height plants. After that I'd fill the background with tall stem plants and foreground with foreground plants. Willow moss makes a beatiful foreground.
For the puffer tank, I'd tie the driftwood together with fishing line. Then tie willow moss thinly all over it with some java fern here and there. Place just off center in your tank with some dressing sand. Fill the nooks and crannies around the driftwood with tenellus and maybe some moss tied stones.
