well i decided that i was going to go with tangs but it will cost me to much, so now im back to south american, so right now i have 1 female nic she is about 6 in long, and 4 odessa barbs and some dario loaches, and soon to be a honeycomb pleco, but heres the question, what could i put in this tank, i would be willing to get rid of my nic for other fish, i did like key holes but i think they look good only when they are breeding, so no keyholes or convicts. any ideas of combinations, or combality would be great, and if posiable please no small dwarfs... been there done that.

all your help is greatly apperciated and i thank all of you that open this post and help

i guess people cant help me here any more

i would of guessed to at least hear firemouth or something by now

Well you have a lot of options: rams, angels, acaras, small geos, festivums, severums, and apistos to name a few SAs. I havent kept the other fish you have but are they peaceful? Also what kind of feel do you want for the tank?

i like Gymnogeophagus labiatus alot

and what could go with them... i was also looking at the Thorichthys aureus

The thing with gymnogeos is they need the cool down period in the winter, temp in the 60s, and CA cichlids cant handle it. For tankmates I'd go with other fish from Uruguay like Corydoras paleatus, Corydoras aeneus, Buenos Aires Tetras, other species of Gymnogeophagus, Australoheros, Crenicichla minuano, and others. You can learn more about these fish at aqvaterra.com You could also use fish from other countries that can handle the cooler temps.

so what about the Thorichthys aureus
