Hi Everyone, I'm a member of the Hamilton & District Aquarium Society in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. I'm trying to prepare a 'Fishy Feud' game for our December club meeting, based around the popular 'Family Feud' game show. For those of you that have seen that show, you know that is based around surveys, and its the survey part that I could use the Aquaria Central crowd's help with. Basically, here are a series of questions I am hoping you can provide responses to. In about two weeks, I'll tally up the responses for my game. Anyone that wants the results for their own game will be welcome to them.
Here are the questions:
1. An aquarium-related chore that almost every aquarist hates having to do (please be more specific than just ‘maintenance’)
2. Name a common ‘first fish’ that people get when starting out in the hobby.
3. Other than the common ‘rectangular box’ what is another shape of aquarium that is commonly seen?
4. Other than a piranha, name a fish where you would be scared to put your hand in their tank
5. Someone that has written a book about fish.
6. The average amount of time per week you spend on your aquarium hobby.
7. An item in your fish room that you can’t do without.
8. Name a fish people buy because of its pretty colors
9. A type of live food that you have given your fish before.
10. The age you were then you got your first fish tank/bowl/etc.
11. Something that people hate to see in their aquariums
12. A reason people get out of the aquarium hobby
13. A continent that supplies many fish to the aquarium trade
14. A type of artificial decoration you often see in aquariums.
15. On average, the typical amount of time you allow between water changes.
16. On average, the number of times you feed your fish in a day.
17. The most you would spend on an individual fish that you really wanted (amount per fish).
18. Name something that an aquarist would test their aquarium water to measure.
19. Other than ‘natural’ a popular colour of aquarium gravel OR the colour of aquarium gravel you find the most hideous
