My friend inherited a tank that is way too small for the fish that came with it. She would love to rehome them to someone who has an appropriate home.
She is in Kansas City area.

The fish are:

2 Red Pacu's about 10 inches
3 Black Fin Sharks 8-10 inches
3 Plecos, not sure what kind, brown with darker brown spots.

These measurements are not accurate, just what I am remembering from seeing them in a 25 gallon tank with cloudy water. In other words, the tank is small and the fish are big! So far they appear quite healthy and active.

Anyone interested would need a huge tank! Please let me know.

Just thought I would suggest trying to contact an LFS who may be able to take them. I'm guessing not many people have tanks big enough for those guys! That way maybe you could get them to a better sized tank sooner and they will be happier. I hope you can find a place for them soon - Good luck!

I thought of that and actually suggested to her to do that. Will probably pursue that but in the mean time I just thought I would throw it out to you guys who have been so much help! They really are beautiful fish and if anyone could take the either the pair of pacus or the trio of sharks that would be great. I do thing they would be happiest that way. I noticed the pacus really stuck together and so did the sharks.

I have heard of some Zoos who will take large pacu. Pacu can get so big, and I doubt a LFS would want them for very long(but who knows). I do know that the Omaha Zoo in Nebraska has a very very large Amazon exibit. I have seen it myself and they have what can only be discribed as a school of Pacu, some the size of a small car's tire. You might call them, its worth a shot.

You can also call your LFS's in the area and ask them if they know anyone or anywhere that would take'em off your hands, better yet go down to a reputable LFS in person to inquire.
Just ask to talk to someone in the freshwater section.
