i have an 18gallon tank, im wondering what would be a good combination of fishes to put in it. i need fishes that can stand rough water since i have an overhead filter. tnx.

hmmmm. maybe 5-6 zebra danios, and a school of cory cats. the zebra will love the current. also some white cloud minnows, leopard or pearl danios could also work instead of the zebras.
I'd look into the loach family for the borneo hillstream sucker, or chinese butterfly (same fish, different common names). Very neat looking buggers, and they love the fast moving water, along with the higher oxygen levels associated with fast water. If you keep the temp a little low (<75), you could keep a happy colony of these guys. Add a small school of danios, and call it good.
