Well thanks to some of my family came to the house with out any warning and left me some fish. It was a good size Pleco that my step dad took for his Puco tank and it left me with a 6” Oscar and a 4 inch yellow fish with a black strip on its fins. They said something about the fish being South African. I know there Cichlids and there in a 20 gallon high. The tank is a quarantine tank that was just empted and was going to get a good cleanout before getting some new fish. I couldn’t find out why they were getting rid of the fish.
I have called a friend with a nice Oscar tank and he will take the Oscar off my hands in 3 weeks or so (he wants me to do his quarantine for him). After 3 or 4 weeks I was thinking of dropping the yellow one into my 75 gallon planted Tetra tank but some research will be needed once the name of the fish comes out.
I know my pics suck but I would like some help. I'll try for a better one of the yellow fish when he settles in.
My KH is 9 my GH is 8 PH 7.4
I'm planning on a mini cycle.
