Need some Help

Ok this will be my first SW tank. I have a 75 Gal and a 70 gal the 70 I am going to do FW and the 75 Salt water. I have read up alot and i have most of the items but unsure if they are the right Items I am looking to start with a FOWLR and work my way up to a Reef. I have a Tricke tank that they craked during shipping a hang on skimmer and also another that was given to me 2 pumps one 1190 gph and the other 180 gph two florecent atic bulbs and i have two spot to place Halogen which i still have to buy. I am not really happy with the lighting. Not even sure what watt i will need minus i have to get a ballast for these. For some reason i think i got some of the right stuff but doesnt feel like i am getting anywhere i am really confuse!!!:huh:
 
what company is the hang on skimmer? Where is the crack, you may need to replace the glass.
 
that skimmer is fine, i wouldnt use a cracked sump
 
So is my set up ok to start? I am also looking for LR and Live sand?? But I am on a little budget and good places too many places say they are the best. Just looking for white or close to it?
 
yea sounds great! With the lighting why is there so many diffrent type what would be the right kind of light? I have this one set up but i am not very happy with the way it looks i was told i would have to hang it
 
Well what corals do you want, i know fowlr dont need much light but why not get the good light now so when you do infact get the corals you wont need to worry about light

depends on what you want to keep. do u want to keep corals in the future? and if so what kinds?
