I have been looking at my tank-the 55 gal...and think I need something more colorful, but don't know what it is. Any suggestions?

The loaches are great, but what I'm looking for is more color in the upper level of the tank. I think I need a black background on my tank...the gouramis just seem to blend in to the background, which is currently the sand colored painted wall behind my tank. The betta was cool..but he didn't seem to like the current or some of the other fish so I put him in the 10 gal by himself for now.

I would get some roseline sharks, they are VERY pretty!! Very peaceful, and dont get too big. If you want another cool schooling fish you can also try some bosemani rainbow fish. Both would be perfect for what you're looking for!

a school of 10 cardinal tetras looks really nice, that is if the bio-load will be okay. It looks great in my tank under the light.

Thanks for the suggestions!! I will have to see what I can get at my lfs. the guy that owns it might even order something for me.

i had roselines and there a great fish but caution should be taken there pretty exspensive and seem to have a low tolorance to ick, it spreds on them very fast but other wise there a great fish they also like to be in schools of odd numbers.

you could try rams there a good fish and very colorful

Are the rainbow fish or roseline sharks peaceful enough to be with neons?

rainbow fish for sure, and I'm pretty sure the rose line "sharks" would be fine also....BUT i've never kept both together...so i cant tell you 100% for sure.
